trying to cap off a 1/2 BSPP port, is this the right kind of cap or am i mixing up thread types?

For a 1/2-14 British Parallel (BSPP) female thread, this is a matching blanking cap. It is a BSPP cap with a 60 degree seat, made from zinc plated steel.

This blanking cap is made with a 1/2-14 British thread, which should match standard 1/2 in BSPP fittings.
