got a 1 inch Caterpillar flange, is this the right d-ring size for it?

For a 1.00 inch flange size, this D-ring is made to match that flange and it is the -16 dash size. The seal dimensions are 1.25 inch ID, 1.52 inch OD, and 0.14 inch width, which are what you want to line up for a proper fit.
