This valve uses coils that meet Nema 4 classification, so they're protected against splashing water and are UL and CSA listed. You can use either AC or DC coils, and they're interchangeable.

For this particular valve, the standard coils fit right on the solenoid stem, and AC and DC versions are interchangeable with each other. One thing worth knowing though -- the Cat Series splits into standard flow and high flow models, and the high flow versions use a 30mm coil and 30mm coil connectors, which are different. Since this unit is rated at 2 SCFM with a Cv of 0.0560, it falls in the standard flow category, so you want to make sure any coil you source is matched to that, not the high flow 30mm size. The coils that do fit are UL-listed and CSA compliant, and Class F coils in this line are rated for 100 percent duty cycle.

Coil is not included with this valve, so you will need to supply a coil. It supports interchangeable AC and DC coils on the same solenoid stem, and the coils are UL listed and CSA compliant.
