runs on 24 volt DC right? been trying to track down a replacement coil for a cartridge valve on one of our refuse haulers and want to make sure before i order

Correct, this coil runs on 24VDC. It also has internal rectification built in, so if your system is supplying AC power to a bridge rectifier elsewhere in the circuit, that setup differs from what this coil expects. For a straight 24VDC application on a refuse hauler, you're looking at the right part.
