Does this fitting use the same thread size on both ends, or are we looking at two different specs here?

Both ends run 9/16-18 threads, so you're working with a uniform size across the connection. One side is a tube OD 3/8 bite type and the other is a Male JIC SAE 37 degree flare, so the thread pitch matches up even though the end types differ. That's worth keeping in mind when you're planning your line layout.

i got a hose end that’s 3/8 tube OD, is this the right straight adapter to go over to a male JIC?

For a straight connection, it matches a 3/8 tube OD side with 9/16-18 threads on B1, and the other end is a 9/16-18 male JIC SAE 37 degree flare (SAE J514) on B2.
