trying to replace a wiper on a 1 inch rod, is this the right size or am i gonna be off?

For a 1.00 inch rod, this one matches the rod diameter spec at 1.00 inch. The wiper outside diameter is 1.375 inches and the base thickness is 3/16 inch, so those two dimensions also need to line up with your groove and housing.
