Got a 1-inch BSPP line feeding into a 1/2-inch BSPP port, is this the fitting that bridges those two sizes?

That's exactly what this nipple is built for. One end is a G 1 - 11 male at 1 inch, and the other is a G 1/2 - 14 male at half inch, both BSPP. So yes, it connects a 1-inch BSPP line directly to a 1/2-inch BSPP port in a straight configuration. No angled routing, no adapters stacked on top of it.
