got a 3/4 inch ID hose that split on me, is this the right little splice to join it back up?
Question by: Debbie W on Sep 10, 2025, 3:22 PM
For a 0.75 inch inside diameter hose, this is the matching hose barb splicer size. It is a short shank brass fitting meant to connect two cut ends of the same ID hose for low pressure fluid transfer, suction, or discharge.

what exactly is this fitting made out of, and is it gonna hold up for regular fluid transfer work?
Question by: Hugh P on Apr 15, 2025, 8:27 AM
Machined from free cutting brass rod, specifically CDA 360 alloy, so it's a solid material choice for low pressure fluid transfer including both suction and discharge applications. Brass at this grade handles everyday industrial hose work without much fuss, and the short shank barb design is meant to grip the hose securely when clamped down properly.
