got a 1 inch ID hose and need to screw into a 3/4-14 NPT port, is this the right barb?

You’re looking at a 1.00 inch hose ID shank on one end and a 3/4-14 male NPT thread on the other, in a straight configuration, so it matches that hose size to that NPT port.

That's what this one's built for. The barb end fits a 1-inch ID hose and the threaded end is 3/4-14 male NPT, so it'll mate up to a standard 3/4 NPT female port without any adapters in between. It's a straight fitting, so there's no angle to account for during installation.
