What kind of pressure can this fitting handle? I'm hooking it up to a sprayer.

Working pressure depends on the hose itself, the clamps you use, how well they're installed, and the temperature.

fitting says 0.38 inch hose ID, that mean it'll work on my 3/8 inch hose?

Yeah, 0.375 inch and 3/8 inch are the same measurement. This barb end is sized to fit a 3/8 inch ID hose, so you're good on that front. The male thread on the other end is 1/2-14 NPT, which is a standard pipe thread size you'll find on a lot of pumps, valves, and fittings.

You are looking at a short shank brass hose barb made for 0.375 inch (3/8) hose ID on one end and 1/2-14 male NPT threads on the other, in a straight configuration.
