trying to swap out an old barb fitting, is this one the kind that takes 1/4 inch hose and screws into 1/8-27 NPT?

You’re looking at a short shank brass hose barb sized for 0.25 inch hose ID, with a straight 1/8-27 male NPT thread on the other end.

Will this brass fitting hold up okay for a low-pressure water line?
