fitting's made from brass, right? what kind exactly, and is it gonna hold up runnin fluids through it regular?

Machined from free cutting brass rod, CDA 360 alloy specifically. That grade machines clean and holds up well in low pressure fluid transfer service, both suction and discharge applications. It's not a heavy-duty high-pressure fitting, so as long as you're keeping it in that low pressure range it should give you solid reliable service.
