What kind of liquids can I use with this fitting?

These combination nipples are recommended for low-pressure discharge and suction service involving compatible liquids. Just keep in mind they aren’t made for compressible stuff like air or nitrogen if you're using the 1-1/4 size or bigger, and definitely not for steam.

got a 1-1/2" hose, does this nipple take that size and still give me 1-1/2" male NPT on the other end?

It matches a 1.50 inch hose ID on the shank side and has a 1-1/2 inch male NPT threaded end on the other side.
