So, this fitting uses a 37-degree flare. Is that pretty standard, or do I need to watch out for something there?

It's designed with a JIC 37-degree flare swivel, which is a common type of connection. Just make sure your hose and other fittings are also compatible with that flare angle for a leak-free seal.
