trying to figure out if this'll work for a 1/2 inch OD tube run going into a half-inch NPT port, is that what this tee's set up for?

That's the setup. The run and branch both take 0.50 inch OD tubing via push-to-connect, and the swivel run side threads into a 1/2 NPT male port. The swivel feature gives you a little wiggle room during install so you ain't fighting the alignment when you're threading it in.

got a 1/2 inch OD tube line, will this tee take that size on both the run and the branch?

For the tube connections, it is set up for 0.50 inch tube OD on both the run and the branch, in a tee configuration.
