got a 6 mm metric tube already in place. is this just a straight union to join two ends together, no threads involved?

Function-wise it is a straight push to connect union for 6.00 mm tube OD, so it joins two pieces of 6 mm tubing inline. Connection is tool-free. You push the tube into each side to lock it in, and to remove it you press the collet ring and pull the tube back out.
