What kind of tubing works best with this fitting?

This fitting is designed for use with PT230 and TP160 nylon, as well as PT240 polyethylene tubing. Just be sure the tubing you pick can handle the temperatures.

these push-connect fittings work with polyethylene tubing or just the nylon stuff?

Both tubing types are covered. The fitting is rated for PT230 and TP160 nylon tubing as well as PT240 polyethylene tubing, so you have options depending on what you're running. Just make sure whatever tubing you pick is rated for the temperature range you're working in, since the fitting handles up to 200F but your tubing needs to match that on its own.

got some 0.16" OD nylon line, will this union work with that PT230 stuff or am i mixing things up

This Push>Connect union is made to connect PT230 and TP160 nylon tubing, and it also works with PT240 polyethylene tubing, all in 0.16 inch tube OD. It’s a straight union, so it’s meant for joining two runs of the same size tubing.
