Will this fitting work okay for air lines on my garage compressor?

got a quarter inch nylon tube and need to turn 90 degrees into a 1/8 npt port. is that what this elbow is set up for?

For a 0.25 inch tube OD to 1/8-27 male NPT connection with a 90 degree elbow, that is exactly what this Push>Connect swivel elbow adapter is made to do. It’s called out as working with PT230 and TP160 nylon tubing, and also PT240 polyethylene tubing.
