fitting says 0.13 inch tube OD, is that the same as 1/8 inch tubing or is that a different size altogether?

Those are the same size. A 0.13 inch outside diameter is just the decimal equivalent of 1/8 inch tubing, so standard 1/8 inch OD tube will seat and lock into this fitting without any issue.
