fitting says it goes up to 150 psi, is that enough for a standard air brake setup, or should I be looking at something rated higher?

For air brake systems, 150 psi covers the operating range you'll run into on most commercial vehicles and trailers. The pressure window on this fitting runs from full vacuum all the way up to 150 psi, which lines up with what D.O.T. and SAE J1131 requirements are built around. If your system is pushing beyond that threshold, you'd need a different fitting, but for typical air brake use this rating holds up fine.
