got a 3/8 tube line, will this fitting work with that and still screw into 3/8 NPT?

Fit-wise it matches 0.38 inch tube OD on the push-to-connect side and 3/8-18 male NPT on the threaded side, so it’s meant to join those two sizes in a straight adapter.

does this fitting work with nylon tubing or do i need something special for that

PT230 and TP160 nylon tubing are both compatible with this fitting, along with PT240 polyethylene tubing. No special adapter needed. Just push the tube straight in until it seats, and you're good to go. To pull it back out, press the collet ring in and withdraw the tube. No tools required either way.
