Product Questions & Answers

Can I use this with nylon tubing, or is it just for air brake lines?
Question by: Gary R on Mar 13, 2026, 9:34 AM
This fitting is specifically designed for air brake tubing. It meets D.O.T. FMVSS 571.106 and SAE J1131 standards for air brake performance.

got a 0.63 tube on my air brake line, is this the kind where you just push it in and it locks?
Question by: Jerry S on Jul 24, 2025, 8:29 AM
Push the tubing in until you feel it hit the internal stop and the collet will grip it, with an EP O ring handling the seal. For prep, cut the tube clean and keep the cut edge to a max 15 degree angle.

fitting says it goes up to 150 psi, is that enough for standard air brake lines on a commercial truck?
Question by: Lyle H on Jan 13, 2026, 7:21 AM
For air brake systems running at typical operating pressures, 150 psi covers the range you'd normally see in commercial vehicle service. The fitting also handles vacuum on the low end, so it works across the full pressure spectrum found in DOT-regulated air brake hydraulic connections. It meets both D.O.T. FMVSS 571.106 and SAE J1131 air brake performance standards, so it's built to the same benchmarks the industry requires for this kind of work.
