both ends on this nipple got the same 3/4-14 NPT thread, right? just want to make sure before i order a handful of em

Correct on both counts. The nipple carries 3/4-14 male NPT threads on each end, so whatever you're connecting on either side needs to accept that thread size. At 1.38 inches overall, it fits tight into assemblies where you don't have a lot of room to work with.

trying to swap out a short brass nipple i’ve got between two fittings, is this one 3/4 NPT on both ends?

Both ends are threaded 3/4-14 male NPT, so it’s meant to join two female NPT ports or fittings in that same size and thread.
