Will this elbow adapter work for hooking up a fuel line?

It's made to handle fuel, LP, and natural gas, but those are special order. It's typically used for grease, refrigeration, instrumentation, and hydraulic systems.

what all can this fitting be used for? got a refrigeration setup and wondering if brass at 45 degrees works for that kind of line

Refrigeration is right in the wheelhouse for this one. The 3350X8 is rated for grease, refrigeration, instrumentation, and hydraulic systems, so a refrigeration line is a solid fit. The NPTF threading gives you a reliable seal, which matters when you're dealing with pressurized refrigerant connections. Both ends are 1/2-14 NPT, so as long as your existing fittings match that thread spec, you're good to go.

Need a 45 degree street elbow, is SKU 3350X8 male 1/2-14 NPT on one side and female 1/2-14 NPT on the other?

For fit and thread match, 3350X8 is a 45 degree street elbow with 1/2-14 NPTF male on one end and 1/2-14 NPTF female on the other, both at 0.5 inch size.
