trying to hook a 1/8 pipe run into a tight spot. is this the little 45 elbow that’s 1/8-27 male on one end and 1/8-27 female on the other?

For tight routing, it’s a 45 degree street elbow with 1/8-27 threads on both ends, male on one side and female on the other. Both ends are NPTF, so it’s meant for pipe-to-pipe style connections in that size.

got a tight spot behind a gauge, would this elbow let me turn the line without kinking things up?

For tight clearances, the 45 degree street elbow shape is meant to change direction without needing a big bend radius in your tubing or hose. It gives you a 45 degree turn while keeping the connection NPT on both ends.
