got a union fitting that needs replacing on a 1/4 inch OD tube line running through our pneumatic setup, both ends are 7/16-20 SAE 45 flare male. this the right part?

For a 1/4 inch OD tube with 7/16-20 male SAE 45 flare connections on both sides, this is exactly what you want. The 42X4 has matching male flare ends on both sides at that thread size and is built to fit 0.25 inch tube OD. It works in pneumatic systems, so your application lines right up.

got two 7/16-20 flare fittings i need to join straight together, is SKU 42X4 the right little union for that

For a straight union between two SAE 45 degree flare connections, this adapter matches 7/16-20 male SAE 45 degree flare on both ends. It is also sized for 0.25 inch tube O.D. with a 0.4375 inch end size on each side.
