trying to hook up a 1/4 NPT line to a 45 degree flare fitting but need a 90 degree turn in there too -- does this adapter handle both the thread conversion and the angle in one piece?
Question by: Tammy P on Feb 2, 2026, 5:21 PM
one fitting takes care of both. The male NPT end is 1/4-18 thread and the other end is a 7/16-20 male SAE 45 degree flare, and the whole thing comes off at a 90 degree angle so you get your direction change without stacking extra fittings. Brass construction makes it a solid choice for instrumentation, pneumatic, and hydraulic setups where you need a clean, compact connection.

trying to hook up a 1/4 npt port to a 45 degree flare line, is this the right elbow for that?
Question by: Hubert W on Oct 27, 2025, 8:50 AM
For a 90 degree turn between those two thread types, it matches up as 1/4-18 male NPTF on one end and 7/16-20 male SAE 45 degree flare on the other, with a 0.25 inch tube OD flare size.
