Will this adapter work alright for hooking up a power steering system?

This brass adapter is suitable for power steering systems, as well as hydraulic and pneumatic setups. It's also used in LP and natural gas applications, plus refrigeration systems.

got a refrigeration line with a 7/16-20 SAE 45 flare on the equipment side and need to tie into a 1/4 NPT port on my gauge manifold. this fitting work for that?
