got a hose end that’s 9/16-18 JIC, will this adapter screw right into it and then go into a 1/4-18 pipe port?

Function-wise, it bridges exactly those two connections: one side is 1/4-18 male NPT (0.25 in NPTF) and the other side is 9/16-18 male JIC with a 37 degree flare (0.5625 in SAE 37). It’s a straight brass adapter meant to make that NPT to JIC flare transition.
