got a line with 1/4-18 male NPT on it already, will this adapter let me hook into a 3/8 tube inverted flare fitting?
Question by: Kirk C on Mar 27, 2025, 6:12 AM
It bridges a 1/4-18 male NPT connection over to a 0.38 inch female 42 degree inverted flare, in a straight body. If your other side is a 3/8 inch (0.38) 42 degree inverted flare tube end, this is the matching female flare side.

got a 1/4 NPT male fitting on my hydraulic line and need to tie into a 3/8 inverted flare. this the right adapter for that?

For a 1/4-18 male NPT thread connecting to a 0.38-inch female 42-degree inverted flare, yes, that's exactly what this adapter is built for. The flare angle is 42 degrees, which is the inverted flare spec, and the tube OD it seats against is 0.38 inch. As long as your line matches those figures, this straight brass adapter should make that connection clean and direct.

Designed for demanding conditions, the brass adapter should provide reliable and durable connections in hydraulic systems.
