What all can this brass elbow adapter be used for? Got a few different lines on a piece of equipment and trying to figure out if one part covers my needs.

Quite a few applications, actually. It's rated for hydraulic brake lines, power steering lines, fuel lines, transmission cooler lines, and LP and natural gas systems. If you're dealing with more than one of those on the same machine, there's a solid chance this adapter covers more than one of your connections. Just make sure the thread and flare sizes line up on your end before ordering.

trying to hook a 1/4-18 npt port to an inverted flare line, is that what this elbow is for?

For tying those two styles together, it’s a 90 degree brass adapter with a 1/4-18 male NPT on one end and a 0.31 inch female 42 degree inverted flare on the other, so you can transition from an NPT port to an inverted flare connection.
