trying to hook a 1/8 npt port to a 1/4 inverted flare line, is this the right elbow for that?
Question by: Shane P on Nov 11, 2025, 9:22 PM
For that hookup, it matches the thread types and sizes described: one end is 1/8-27 male NPT and the other end is a 0.25 inch female 42 degree inverted flare, built as a 90 degree elbow for an angled connection.

fitting's got a 90-degree bend on it, right? trying to route a brake line in a real tight spot and a straight adapter just ain't gonna cut it
Question by: Jean B on Jul 2, 2025, 7:56 PM
the elbow on this one is a true 90 degrees. One end is 1/8-27 male NPT and the other is a 0.25-inch female 42-degree inverted flare. That combination makes it a solid pick for brake lines where you're working around other components and a straight fitting would put you in a bind. The brass construction holds up well in those kinds of applications too.

This brass adapter is designed for use in transmission cooler lines, along with hydraulic brake, power steering, and fuel lines. It can also be used with LP and natural gas on special order.
