got a line running 3/4 tube and the fittings on each end are different standards, one side inverted flare and the other JIC 45 degree. this adapter gonna bridge that gap straight through without needing any thread tape or sealant on it?

Correct on both counts. One end of this brass adapter carries a 3/4-18 thread with a 42 degree inverted flare, and the other is a 3/4-16 thread with a SAE 45 degree flare. Both end sizes are 0.75 inches, so tube diameter stays consistent all the way through. No thread sealant is included or required at the fitting itself, which means sealant application stays under your control if your system calls for it elsewhere.
