does this adapter work for refrigeration lines, or is it strictly a hydraulic fitting?

Refrigeration is actually one of the listed applications for this adapter, right alongside hydraulic systems, grease systems, and instrumentation. It handles temperatures down to -65F, so cold refrigeration environments are well within its range. The brass construction also holds up well in those kinds of setups. Fuel, LP, and natural gas use are available too, but those require a special order.

If I'm hookin' this up to somethin' outside, will the brass hold up okay? Don't want it rustin' on me.

Brass is highly resistant to corrosion, so it should hold up just fine in outdoor conditions. It's made to meet industry standards, so durability shouldn't be an issue.

trying to hook up a 1/8 pipe line and need female on one side, male on the other. is 3200X2 straight 1/8-27 npt both ends?

Straight adapter with 1/8-27 NPT threads on both sides, female on one end and male on the other, so it’s meant to join two 1/8-27 NPT connections in-line.
