trying to hook a 1/8 npt port up to a 1/4 inverted flare line, is that what this elbow is for?

Function-wise it bridges those two styles in one fitting. One side is 1/8-27 female NPTF pipe thread, and the other side is a 0.25 inch female 42 degree inverted flare (SAE), built as a 45 degree elbow to help you turn the line.
