got a 1/4-18 female npt line on both ends. is this the right coupling to join em?
Question by: Ray W on Feb 26, 2026, 11:35 AM
Match-up looks right if both sides are 1/4-18 NPTF female, since this adapter is a 1/4-18 female NPTF to 1/4-18 female NPTF coupling.

runs down to what temp can this brass coupling handle? got a refrigeration line that sees some pretty cold conditions and want to make sure it ain't gonna give me trouble
Question by: Terry G on Dec 7, 2025, 6:23 PM
Cold temps are no issue for this one. The coupling is rated down to -65 degrees F, so standard refrigeration line conditions fall well within what it can handle. Brass holds up well in low-temp environments, and this fitting is built with exactly that kind of application in mind.

i got two female ports that are both 1/4-18 nptf, is this the right little coupling to tie em together?
Question by: Shane M on Oct 4, 2025, 2:23 PM
For joining two matching female NPT ports, this part fits that job. It is a brass female NPT coupling with 1/4-18 NPTF threads on both ends and a 0.25 inch end size.

Will this brass fitting hold up okay in a hydraulic setup, or is it better suited for something else?
Question by: Chad W on Mar 24, 2025, 6:15 AM
This adapter is designed for reliable use in hydraulic systems, as well as grease, refrigeration, and instrumentation applications. It can also be special ordered for fuel, LP, and natural gas systems.
