trying to tuck a line in close, is this the kind of 90 degree elbow that turns the run without changing thread size?

For a tight turn, it uses a 90 degree elbow body and it stays the same size on both ends since it is 3/8-18 female NPTF to 3/8-18 female NPTF.

Will this fitting hold up okay if I'm using it for hydraulics on a piece of farm equipment?

It's made from high-quality brass, so it should be durable enough for hydraulic systems, plus it's also good for grease and refrigeration applications. Just make sure the temperature stays above -65F.

Both ends are female NPT on this thing, right? Trying to route a 3/8 line around a corner and don't want to order the wrong fitting twice.

Both ports are 3/8-18 female NPT, so you'd be threading male NPT fittings into each end. The 90-degree angle handles the directional change, which makes it a solid pick for tight routing situations where a straight coupling just won't do the job.
