Will this fitting hold up okay with regular use on fuel lines?

This Eaton Aeroquip adapter is designed specifically for fuel lines, as well as hydraulic brake systems, power steering, and transmission cooler lines. It's made from brass for durability.

got a brake line on an old truck that uses a 3/8-18 NPT port, will this brass fitting mate up on the female inverted flare side with a 0.38 inch line?
Question by: Rhonda W on Jul 30, 2025, 3:37 PM
Yeah, that setup lines right up. The fitting has a 0.38 inch female 42-degree inverted flare on one end and a 3/8-18 male NPT thread on the other, so if your brake line terminates in a standard inverted flare and your port is 3/8-18 NPT, this adapter bridges those two connections in a straight configuration. Brass construction holds up well in brake system environments too, so you're not looking at a corrosion problem down the road.
