got a 0.63" OD nylon air brake line, does this fitting go on without flaring the tube?

No flaring or tube prep is needed with this style. You push the NT100 nylon tubing (SAE J844 Type A and B) into the fitting body until it bottoms out, then thread and torque the nut to finish the connection.
