Product Questions & Answers

got 0.63 OD nylon air brake tube, do i need to flare it or prep the end before this sleeve goes on?
Question by: Scott M on Mar 16, 2026, 6:53 AM
No tube prep is needed on this one. You cut the nylon tubing to length, slide the nut and sleeve onto the tube, then tighten to the specified torque, and the fitting’s built-in tube support helps keep everything stable.

does this fitting work with nylon air brake tubing, or do i need something different for that?
Question by: Sheila S on Aug 14, 2025, 12:36 PM
NT100 Nylon Tubing meeting SAE J844 Type A and B is exactly what this sleeve is built for. No flaring or tube prep needed either. Just cut your tubing to length, slide the nut and sleeve on, and torque it down. The built-in tube support keeps things stable once it's all assembled.

Will this fitting hold up ok in a truck's air brake system?
Question by: Cindy E on May 11, 2025, 6:24 AM
This brass fitting is DOT approved for air brake systems and meets SAE and DOT FMVSS 571.106 specs, so it's made to handle the pressures and conditions you'd find in that application.
