Got some 1/4 inch copper tubing I need to tie into a 1/8 NPT female port. This fitting gonna work for that, or do I need something different?

Yes, this brass compression fitting is designed for use with aluminum, copper, and plastic tubing, in addition to copper. Just note that steel tubing isn't recommended for use with it.
