Product Questions & Answers

What kind of tubing can I use with this elbow fitting?
Question by: Danny R on Feb 26, 2026, 3:10 PM
This fitting is designed for use with aluminum, copper, and plastic tubing. Just a heads up, if you're using plastic tubing, except for Eaton PT230, you'll need that 2030 insert.

i’ve got 1/2 inch tubing and need to turn into a 3/8-18 male NPT port, is that what this elbow is set up for?
Question by: Bobby R on Mar 5, 2026, 9:51 AM
Use it when you need a 90 degree turn from 1/2 inch tube OD into a 3/8-18 male NPT connection. It is a brass compression male elbow made for aluminum, copper, or plastic tubing.

Will this fitting hold up if I'm running hydraulic fluid through it?
Question by: Howard M on May 24, 2025, 10:06 AM
This brass compression fitting is suitable for hydraulic systems, as well as pneumatic and instrumentation applications. It's rated to handle pressures up to 2000 psi, depending on the tubing you're using with it.
Answer by: Customer Support on May 25, 2025, 4:57 PM
fitting's rated for 2000 psi -- will that hold up running hydraulic lines on a press setup, or is that pushing it?
Question by: Daryl B on Oct 3, 2025, 6:50 PM
At 2000 psi working pressure with a 4:1 safety factor built in, this fitting has solid overhead for most hydraulic press applications. CA360 brass is a durable alloy that handles pressure well, so as long as your tubing is rated to match and you're within the temperature window of negative 65 to positive 250 degrees F for metal tubing, you're in good shape for that kind of use.
