got a port that’s 1/8 x 27 NPT, and my line end is 3/8 x 24 NF. is this the right little adaptor to marry those up?

It’s meant for exactly that thread change, going from 1/8 x 27 NPT on one side to 3/8 x 24 NF on the other.

So this here adapter, it goes from a little pipe thread to a bigger fine thread, right? Just wanna make sure before I order.

That's right. It adapts from a 1/8 x 27 NPT (National Pipe Taper) thread to a 3/8 x 24 NF (National Fine) thread.
