gauge says it goes up to 15,000 PSI but how hard can you actually run it day to day without wearing it out faster than it should?

For regular continuous use, keep your operating pressure between 25% and 75% of the full scale range. On a 15,000 PSI gauge that puts your safe working window roughly between 3,750 and 11,250 PSI. If your line pulses or surges, you want to stay under 50% of full scale, so no higher than 7,500 PSI under those conditions. Running it outside those ranges consistently will stress the internals over time and shorten the life of the gauge.
