A priority flow divider like this takes one inlet flow and splits it into two outlet flows, a priority stream and an excess stream. Both outlet ports are pressure compensated, so it is built to keep the priority flow consistent even when load or pressure changes on either outlet, with the two outlet flows adding up to the inlet flow.

Priority flow comes preset at 8 GPM from the factory and is non-adjustable. There's no field setting to turn or modify. The whole point of this design is that the priority stream stays locked at that rate regardless of what the rest of the system is doing, so if 8 GPM isn't what your application calls for, you'd need a different preset configuration rather than trying to adjust this one.
