What exactly does this sleeve do at the fitting end of a hose? Trying to figure out if it's worth adding to my assembly or if it's just extra hardware.

Where a hose meets a fitting is one of the more vulnerable spots in any assembly. Flex and movement concentrate right at that junction, and over time that causes wear, kinking, or cracking at the termination point. This sleeve wraps around that area to absorb some of that stress and protect the outer hose surface from abrasion. For setups where the hose sees regular movement or gets rubbed against other surfaces, it makes a real difference in how long the assembly holds up.

Would this sleeve keep my hydraulic hose from rubbing and wearing out where it connects?
