Green oxygen-grade tape like this one is manufactured specifically for use in oxygen service environments. Standard white PTFE thread tape isn't rated or processed for that application. Oxygen-compatible tape goes through additional precautions in production to make it safe around pure oxygen lines, where contamination or the wrong materials can create serious hazards. If you're working on oxygen systems, this is the type you want, not the generic stuff off the hardware store shelf.
