Product Questions & Answers

got a pump setup that needs suction hose. is this the blue 1-1/2 inch stuff rated for suction and transfer, or is it more of a pressure line
Question by: Sherry H on Jul 17, 2025, 6:43 PM
Built for suction and transfer service, it uses a helical wire between two textile braids to help it hold shape under vacuum. It is rated up to 28 in. Hg vacuum service and 150 PSI maximum operating pressure, so it fits suction side and general transfer duties for a range of industrial fluids.

hose rated for pulling petroleum fluids through it, or is it strictly hydraulic oil service?
Question by: Lyle C on Jun 29, 2025, 5:15 PM
Pulling gasoline, lubricating oils, and hydraulic fluid through it are all listed applications for this hose. It handles fuel and general petroleum-based fluids in addition to water and various industrial fluids, so you have a fair amount of flexibility there depending on what your setup calls for.

got a tight spot to route it, how sharp can i bend this 1-1/2 suction hose without kinking it
Question by: Norm S on Apr 12, 2025, 4:05 PM
For routing, the minimum bend radius on this hose is 10 inches. Keeping your bend at or above that radius helps it hold its shape and avoid kinking, especially in suction service where collapse can be an issue.
