Product Questions & Answers

What kind of temperatures can this hose handle?
Question by: Merle L on Nov 23, 2025, 6:41 AM
This AQP Hi-Impulse hose is designed to handle temperatures ranging from -40°F to +300°F.

hose been running 5500 PSI steady on a skid steer attachment and my old one finally gave out. this blue aeroquip rated for that kind of pressure?
Question by: Janet W on Dec 28, 2025, 10:13 AM
At 5750 PSI max operating pressure, it handles that load with room to spare. The double wire braid reinforcement uses high-tensile steel cords, so it's built to hold up under sustained hydraulic pressure, not just peak spikes. For a skid steer running around 5500 PSI, this hose fits right in its working range.

got a tight spot to snake a hose through. what’s the minimum bend radius on this GH195-4?
Question by: Dale P on Jan 27, 2026, 11:42 AM
For routing, the minimum bend radius is 4.02 inches, so you will want to keep any bends at or above that to avoid kinking and stressing the reinforcement.

i need a quarter inch hose for a tight spot, how sharp can i bend this one without kinkin it
Question by: Hugh P on Apr 22, 2025, 11:55 AM
For bend limits, the minimum bend radius on this hose is 4.02 inches. Staying at or above that radius helps keep it from kinking and protects the reinforcement.

What kind of stuff can this hose handle without breaking down? I'm mainly dealing with hydraulic fluids, but sometimes there's fuel oil involved too.
Question by: Rick R on Feb 18, 2026, 10:41 AM
Designed for versatility, this hose works well with hydraulic fluids, crude oil, fuel and lubricating oils, gasoline, and even water-based hydraulic fluids. So it should hold up just fine for your needs.
Answer by: Customer Support on Feb 19, 2026, 8:18 PM
hose rated for 5750 PSI on a 1/4 inch line, that seem right for standard hydraulic work or is that on the higher end?
Question by: Rusty B on Mar 25, 2025, 9:41 PM
For a quarter-inch hose, 5750 PSI is actually a solid working pressure rating and puts it well within range for most high-pressure hydraulic circuits. The double wire braid construction is what gets you there on such a small diameter. A lot of folks running log splitters, mini excavators, or compact loader circuits find this size and pressure combination fits their needs without having to step up to a bulkier hose.
