hose gonna hold up running coolant and fuel lines on a diesel engine? temps get pretty nasty under the hood
Question by: Kent P on Jun 21, 2025, 7:15 AM
Rated for service up to 300°F, this hose handles coolant and fuel applications in engine compartments without issue. The AQP elastomer tube paired with polyester inner braid and single wire reinforcement gives it solid resistance to the kind of heat and pressure cycling you'd see on a working diesel. Just keep in mind the air brake side tops out at 250°F rather than the full 300, so if you're routing air lines near a high-heat zone, factor that in.

What kind of stuff can I run through this hose? I'm using it in my garage.
Question by: Hank J on Aug 14, 2025, 5:13 PM
This AQP hose handles air, gasoline, fuel, lubricating oils, and coolants. Just make sure to review the guidelines for selection, installation, and maintenance.

got a tight little spot to snake this through, how sharp can i bend it without kinkin it
Question by: Dale G on Nov 14, 2025, 11:05 AM
For routing, the minimum bend radius on this hose is 1.75 inches. Staying at or above that bend radius helps it flex without kinking, and the hose OD is 0.77 inches if you are checking clearance.

hose rated for air brake lines on a diesel truck, or is it just for engine stuff?
Question by: Glen G on Jan 9, 2026, 8:46 AM
Air brake applications are explicitly covered by this hose. It carries the FMVSS106 rating, which is the federal standard specifically required for air brake hose used on motor vehicles. The one thing worth noting is the temperature limit for air service: while the hose handles fluids up to 300 degrees F, compressed air use is capped at 250 degrees F. For most diesel truck air brake setups that falls well within normal operating range.
